Sarah Palin made the list of most-admired women in America?  I just read the article on ADN and I am appalled by this.  Sorry America, but Sarah Palin did NOT make my list.

Braveny’s List of Most Admired Women:

1. My Mother – who raised five children to think for themselves and gave us the gift of common sense.  She promoted reading all kinds of books which continues to be our joy today. She refused to have us baptized into her church when we were young wishing instead that we find our own way to God when we were old enough to decide for ourselves.

2. My Grandmother – who raised 13 children on the prairie in Oklahoma and always had a meal for those that had less.  She passed on her talents of sewing and cooking and making do with less to all of her children.  Creativity lives on because of her.

3. My Daughter – who has been active in the Red Cross for the past 3 years and gave of her time and talents to help victims of Katrina, Ike, and Gustav.  She donates her time each week locally now to assist those who need help in time of trial.  She is an avid reader.  (I wonder where she got that?) She fears nothing.

4. My Boss – who even though she didn’t feel qualified for the position was encouraged to apply by all of the people who work with her.  As a Mexican-American woman she stands tall for equality for all women in the industry she works in.  (And we are a really mixed group)

5. Rachel Maddow – who presents the news and asks intelligent questions.  I watch her daily.  Sometimes I jump up and down and shout.

Now this will make you laugh if you really need a laugh. I laughed so hard I peed my panties. Organizing can be fun I would say.
